About the Event

Join us in supporting our Safe Harbor Supply Drive!

Response.Ability. is teaming up with another incredible organization this month! We are collaborating with Richmond-based non-profit, Safe Harbor, to assist in collecting donations for their cause. With your help, we look forward to collecting pantry and personal items for our drive. Founded in 1998, Safe Harbor supports anyone who has experienced or is currently experiencing domestic violence, sexual violence or human trafficking. Their offerings are vast, including counseling, a 24-hour helpline, emergency shelter, court advocacy and more. They focus on empowering and rebuilding the lives of these survivors.

Response.Ability.'s mission to encourage and inspire young women to choose their responses may prevent domestic abuse and toxic relationships. Teaming up with Safe Harbor, our goal is to positively influence our community. If we can give our girls the knowledge and strength to grow healthy, loving relationships, they will learn what is and isn't okay from a young age.

To learn more about Safe Harbor, visit their website.

Dates for the Drive

Response.Ability. will be collecting donations from February 22nd to March 15th at various locations throughout Richmond

Items to Donate

We are looking for pantry items like peanut butter, corn masa flour, rice, kid snacks, pasta, spaghetti sauce, boxed meals, and oatmeal. Personal items include hand soap, deodorant, body wash, feminine health products, pain relievers and shampoo & conditioner

These donations will support the survivors in getting back on their feet. Some of them don't have a way to get to work or feed their children, so having the bare necessities allows them to focus on recovery, rebuilding and healing.
